A_228 - I found it very helpful, living in very humid areas, to buy potted cacti to keep indoors. I also suspect that living in arid or desert areas, it might be very helpful to keep potted plants that require frequent watering indoors. For some reason, this contrast with the natural environment in which the plants would normally live is beneficial. It seems to help improve the psychological balance of the environment.
