A_197 - I am obviously not happy when people suffer sexual violence: it's a serious act that should never happen to anyone. What I have observed, about my own personal experience, is that how one reacts psychologically to a difficult experience can make a difference over time: in my case, for example, I came to understand some things that turned out to be very useful to me later. That doesn't mean what happened was in any way right or acceptable, nor that one should look for a silver lining in violence suffered by other people: everyone processes their own experiences in their own way, and it isn't my place to judge or describe the effects of what someone else went through.
