A_073 - Basil pesto is a classic pasta sauce loved by millions. What almost no one knows, however, is that basil is actually slightly toxic. If, for example, you overdo it with basil pesto (I use vegan) for several days in a row when you're dressing pasta, your heart "resets." During digestion, you begin to feel a strong sense of dullness, monotony, and a lack of emotion, almost as if your heart were filled with gray concrete. This isn't a permanent condition; over time, your body tends to purify itself, and you return to that state where your heart feels the "warmth" we typically associate with the love others feel for you. I don't deny that when you find yourself in that dull, monotonous state, everything is much more difficult and mentally taxing, but it's equally true that when you're in that state, your reasoning is very different and "differently intelligent." Simply put: eating too much basil pesto causes temporary depression.
